Sensex down 92pts; ICICI Bank firm

The Sensex is now down 92 points at 19,874.

HDFC has dropped 3% to Rs 2,832. TCS and Hindustan Unilever have shed 2.5% each at Rs 1,035 and Rs 203, respectively.

BHEL, Tata Motors and Cipla have slipped around 2% each to Rs 2,685, Rs 755 and Rs 193, respectively.

NTPC has declined 1.7% to Rs 242. Mahindra & Mahindra and ITC are down 1.4% each at Rs 769 and Rs 187, respectively.

HDFC Bank and Reliance Communications are down 1% each at Rs 1,706 and Rs 727, respectively.

ICICI Bank has rallied 2.5% to Rs 1,278, and Hindalco has advanced 1.5% to Rs 191.

Infosys, DLF and Bharti Airtel are the other major gainers at Rs 1,734, Rs 1,020 and Rs 967, respectively.

Out of 2,855 stocks traded so far, 2,005 have advanced, 815 have declined and 35 are unchanged.
