Sensex down 93 pts; Tata Motors, Satyam recover

 Dr. Reddy's at Rs 691 (down Rs 21 or 2.92%) and Cipla at Rs 228 (down Rs 6 or 2.52%) are still reeling under selling pressure.

Bharti has plunged 4.47% (Rs 9) to Rs 195. While Hindalco has lost 2.94% (Rs 37) to Rs 1,220, Tisco is trading lower by 1.57% (Rs 6) at Rs 360.

Tata Motors has gained 1.52% (Rs 6) to Rs 416, after a weak opening. Other auto counters, however, are still exhibiting weak trends.

Metal stocks have plunged deep into the red. Essar Steel has tumbled 9.91% (Rs 5) to Rs 49, and SAIL has crumbled 6.39% (Rs 4) to Rs 55. While Ispat has shed 5% to Rs 25, Uttam Galva is down 4.94% (Rs 3) at Rs 57. Gujarat NRE Coke, Sun Iron & Steel, Mukand, Monnet Ispat, Jindal Stainless and Hind Zinc are trading lower in a range of 3-5%.

Select counters, however, have attracted buying support in a bearish market. Swaraj Mazda has soared 9.18% (Rs 28) to Rs 339, followed by Alstom at Rs 164 (up Rs 11 or 7.45%), ETC Network at Rs 39 (up Rs 2 or 6.31%), TV 18 (up Rs 14 or 5.72%) and BEML at Rs 509 (up Rs 13 or 2.63%).
