Sensex down 96pts; Infosys stands firm

The Sensex recouped some of its losses and is now down 96 points at 13,060. The index had touched a low of 13,015.

Hero Honda has tumbled nearly 4% to Rs 715. HDFC and Bajaj Auto have shed 2.5% each to Rs 1,521 and Rs 2,658, respectively.

Reliance Communications and Reliance declined 2% each to Rs 379 and Rs 1,264, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's and NTPC have shed 1.7% each to Rs 779 and Rs 129, respectively.

Tata Motors, ITC and Larsen & Toubro are down around 1% each to Rs 809, Rs 187 and Rs 1,310, respectively.

Infosys has advanced 1.8% to Rs 2,139. Reliance Energy is up nearly 1% at Rs 511.

Out of 2,486 stocks traded so far, 1,663 have declined, 763 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
