Sensex down 96pts; Reliance slips 3%

The Sensex is now down 96 points at 10,197.

Hindalco has dropped 3.5% to Rs 161. Reliance is down nearly 3% at Rs 1,003.

Gujarat Ambuja and Reliance Communications have shed around 2.5% each at Rs 102 and Rs 242, respectively.

Tata Steel, ACC and Larsen & Toubro have declined over 2% each at Rs 482, Rs 802 and Rs 2,082, respectively.

ONGC and Ranbaxy have gained 1.5% each at Rs 1,044 and Rs 325, respectively.

Satyam and Wipro are up over 1% each at Rs 691 and Rs 482, respectively.

Out of 2,227 stocks traded so far, 1,653 have declined, 498 have advanced and 76 are unchanged.
