Sensex down 97pts; Bharti, Hind Unilever drag

The Sensex is now down 97 points at 16,120.

The NSE Nifty is down 26 points at 4,851.

HDFC has surged 2.5% to Rs 2,655, and HDFC Bank has rallied 2.3% to Rs 1,450.

ONGC has gained 2% at Rs 645, and Tata Steel has moved up 1.8% to Rs 645. ITC is up 1.3% at Rs 194.

Bharti Airtel has plunged 4.6% to Rs 796. Hindustan Unilever has shed 3.6% at Rs 236, and Tata Motors has slipped over 3% to Rs 659.

DLF and ICICI Bank have dropped around 2% each to Rs 664 and Rs 863, respectively.

BHEL has shed 1.7% at Rs 1,979. Reliance Communications is down over 1% at Rs 532.

Out of 2,612 stocks traded so far, 1,741 have advanced, 802 have declined and 69 are unchanged.
