Tata Power has tumbled nearly 9% to Rs 899. Satyam has shed 7.8% at Rs 297.
DLF and TCS have shed 7% each at Rs 343 and Rs 629, respectively.
Ranbaxy has dropped 6.5% each to Rs 255. Bharti Airtel has shed 6% at Rs 730.
Tata Motors has slipped 5.6% to Rs 352, and Reliance Infrastructure has declined nearly 5% to Rs 808.
Larsen & Toubro and Reliance Communications are down over 4% each to Rs 2,365 and Rs 333, respectively.
Out of 2,651 stocks traded so far, 2,329 have declined, 283 have advanced and 39 are unchanged.
