Sensex down over 200pts; HDFC, ICICI Bank drop 2%

The Sensex has slipped deeper into red and is now down 210 points at 14,087.

Hindalco is trading at Rs 123, down over 11%, on the back of ex-rights adjustment.

Reliance Infrastructure has plunged 3.3% to Rs 934, and Reliance has shed 2.7% at Rs 2,089.

Wipro, Larsen & Toubro and Reliance Communications have tumbled around 2.5% each to Rs 414, Rs 2,510 and Rs 387, respectively.

HDFC and DLF have slipped over 2% each to Rs 2,240 and Rs 468, respectively.

BHEL, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank have declined nearly 2% each to Rs 1,649, Rs 1,210 and Rs 637, respectively.

 

Mahindra & Mahindra, Hindustan Unilever and TCS are down over 1% each at Rs 569, Rs 244 and Rs 810, respectively.

Tata Motors and Bharti Airtel are up 1% each at Rs 427 and Rs 812, respectively.

Out of 2,647 stocks traded so far, 1,686 have declined, 862 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
