Sensex down over 200pts; SBI, L&T down 3%

The NSE Nifty is down 55 points at 4,422.

TCS has slumped 6.5% to Rs 802. Tata Steel has plunged over 6% to Rs 626. Infosys has shed 4.6% at Rs 1,530.

Reliance Communications, SBI and Larsen & Toubro have tumbled over 3% each to Rs 508, Rs 1,494 and Rs 2,682, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra and BHEL have slipped nearly 3% each to Rs 538 and Rs 1,721, respectively.

Satyam and NTPC have declined 2.7% each to Rs 367 and Rs 185, respectively. Cipla is down 2% at Rs 228.

DLF has surged 3.5% to Rs 513. Maruti and Reliance Infrastructure have gained 3% each at Rs 625 and Rs 1,045, respectively.

 

ONGC and Reliance are up over 1.5% each at Rs 1,012 and Rs 2,300, respectively.

Out of 2,565 stocks traded so far, 1,270 have moved up, 1,225 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
