Sensex drops 102pts; Hindalco sheds 3%

The Sensex is now down 102 points at 14,541.

Hindalco has shed 2.7% to Rs 177, and Bajaj Auto has slipped 2.3% to Rs 3,009.

Larsen & Toubro has dropped 2% to Rs 1,710. Satyam is down 1.7% at Rs 482.

Reliance Communications, HLL, Bharti Airtel, ITC, Ranbaxy and Hero Honda are the other major losers.

BHEL and Reliance Energy have gained over 1% each at Rs 2,523 and Rs 566, respectively.

Out of 2,593 stocks traded so far, 1,680 have declined, 855 have advanced and 58 are unchanged.
