Sensex drops 114pts; Bharti, SBI down 2%

The Sensex is now down 114 points at 10,162.

Ranbaxy has gained 3.7% to Rs 385. Satyam has spurted 2% to Rs 699.

Larsen & Toubro has shed 3.6% to Rs 2,117. BHEL and HDFC have dropped 3% each to Rs 1,810 and Rs 1,087, respectively.

Tata Motors and SBI have slipped 2.5% each to Rs 762 and Rs 755, respectively.

Hero Honda and Bhart Airtel are down 2% each at Rs 755 and Rs 357, respectively.

The market breadth is negative - out of 2,375 stocks traded so far, 1,313 have declined, 1,012 have advanced and 50 are unchanged.
