Sensex drops 114pts; Hindalco slips 2%

The Sensex has slipped deeper into red and is now down 114 points at 11,858.

Hindalco has slipped over 2% to Rs 168. Infosys, Bajaj Auto and Reliance Communications have shed 1.7% each to Rs 1,798, Rs 2,778 and Rs 319, respectively.

Cipla and Reliance Energy have dropped 1.4% each at Rs 251 and Rs 459, respectively.

Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, Wipro and TCS are down around 1% each at Rs 502, Rs 643, Rs 509 and Rs 1,003, respectively.

HDFC Bank has advanced 1.6% to Rs 878, and Bharti Airtel is up over 1% at Rs 444.
