Sensex drops 128pts

The Sensex has dropped 128 points (1.4%) to 8,833.

Infosys has declined nearly 2% (Rs 56) to Rs 2,787. While TCS is down Rs 18 at Rs 1,530, Wipro has slipped Rs 7 to Rs 424.

HDFC has declined 3% (Rs 34) to Rs 1,111.

ACC is now down 2.7% (Rs 15) to Rs 524. Grasim and Gujarat Ambuja are also down over 2% each.

SBI is still down Rs 16 at Rs 895. HLL is now up Rs 2 at Rs 187.

Declines have moved ahead of advances - out of 2,481 scrips traded till now, 1,428 have declined, 982 have moved up and 71 are unchanged.
