Sensex drops 136pts; Rel Comm, ICICI drag

The Sensex has slipped deeper into red and is now down 136 points at 13,496.

ITC and Satyam have soared around 3% each to Rs 171 and Rs 461, respectively. Tata Steel has moved up 2.6% to Rs 471.

Gujarat Ambuja has surged 2% to Rs 125. Grasim and ACC are up 1% each at Rs 2,298 and Rs 926, respectively.

Reliance Communications has tumbled nearly 3% to Rs 420.  Reliance, ICICI Bank and Ranbaxy have dropped 2% each to Rs 1,386, Rs 891 and Rs 349, respectively.

Wipro and Infosys have slipped 1.3% each to Rs 615 and Rs 2,209, respectively.

The market breadth has turned negative - out of 2,481 stocks traded so far, 1,275 have declined, 1,154 have advanced and 52 are unchanged.
