Sensex drops 143pts; Wipro slumps 4%

The Sensex has dropped 2% (143 points) to 6,507.

Infosys has dropped more than 2% (Rs 48) to Rs 2,040. Wipro has plunged 4% (Rs 28) to Rs 721.

ITC is down Rs 22 at Rs 1,292. HLL is down a rupee at Rs 145. Reliance is down Rs 4 at Rs 527. SBI has lost 2% (Rs 14) to Rs 636.

Hero Honda is still down 5% (Rs 33) at Rs 578. Bharti is now down 6% (Rs 14) at Rs 213. Ranbaxy has lost Rs 27 to Rs 1,208. BHEL has slipped Rs 8 to Rs 769.

Grasim has declined 1.6% (Rs 21) to Rs 1,320. ACC is also weak.

L&T is still up Rs 8 at Rs 981.
