Sensex drops 174pts, HLL down 3%

The Sensex has declined over 2% (174 points) to 7,948.

ONGC is still down 4.8% (Rs 48) at Rs 935. Reliance has slipped Rs 12 to Rs 745. SBI has declined 2.7% (Rs 24) to Rs 887.

HLL has dropped over 3.5% (Rs 6) to Rs 168. ITC is down 3% (Rs 4) at Rs 121.

Infosys is still down Rs 39 at Rs 2,492. TCS is down Rs 43 at Rs 1,396. Satyam is up Rs 3 at Rs 556.

Hero Honda is still down Rs 30 at Rs 687. Cipla has declined 3% (Rs 13) to Rs 383. Dr. Reddy's is down 5% (Rs 42) at Rs 812.

Grasim has dropped over 2% (Rs 24) at Rs 1,147. L&T is down 3% (Rs 49) at Rs 1,384. Tata Steel has slipped 4% (Rs 14) to Rs 359.

Declining shares account for over 92% of scrips traded till now. Out of 2,439 scrips traded, 2,256 have declined, 160 have moved up and 23 are unchanged.
