Sensex drops 193pts; TCS, RIL slip 2%

The Sensex is now down 193 points at 11,726.

Hindalco has plunged 4% to Rs 176. HLL has shed 3.5% to Rs 233.

Tata Steel and Reliance Energy have slipped over 3% each to Rs 508 and Rs 474, respectively.

Tata Motors and BHEL have dropped over 2.5% each to Rs 874 and Rs 2,264, respectively. HDFC Bank has declined 2.3% to Rs 830.

Cipla, TCS and Reliance are down 2% each at Rs 252, Rs 973 and Rs 1,108, respectively.

Out of 2,451 stocks traded so far, 1,582 have declined, 804 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
