Sensex drops 266pts, Maruti tumbles 6%

The Sensex has now dropped 266 points to 10,133.

Maruti has dropped 6% to Rs 691. Bharti and Cipla have shed 5.7% each at Rs 345 and Rs 217, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and Tata Motors shed 5% each to Rs 2,200 and Rs 750, respectively.

Bajaj Auto and Satyam are down 4% each at Rs 2,635 and Rs 664, respectively.

Out of 2,448 stocks traded so far, 1,900 have declined, 501 have advanced and 47 are unchanged.
