Sensex drops 40pts

The Sensex is still down 40 points at 8,647.

Reliance Energy has dropped 2.6% (Rs 15) to Rs 559.

ICICI Bank is now down Rs 11 (2%) at Rs 527. HDFC Bank has declined Rs 12 to Rs 687.

Ranbaxy is still down Rs 7 at Rs 390.

Reliance is still up Rs 4 at Rs 830. Grasim is still up Rs 47 at Rs 1,329.

Hero Honda is steady at Rs 839 - up Rs 23. Cipla, HDFC, Gujarat Ambuja and Tata Motors are also trading with gains.
