Sensex drops 410pts, Hindalco, Tata St down 3%

The Sensex is now down 410 points at 14,690.

HDFC is still down nearly 4% at Rs 1,935.

Hindalco has slipped over 3.5% to Rs 150.  Tata Steel is now down 3% at Rs 632.

ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and SBI are down over 3% each at Rs 856, Rs 1,115 and Rs 1,595, respectively.

Reliance has dropped nearly 3% to Rs 1,791. ONGC, BHEL, Maruti and HUL are also trading weak.

Market breadth continues to be bearish - out of 2,141 scrips traded till now, 1,612 have declined.
