Sensex drops 49pts; HLL leads fall

The Sensex touched a low of 10,181, and is now down 49 points at 10,195.

Gujarat Ambuja (Rs 86), SBI (Rs 864), Tata Steel (Rs 425) and Grasim (Rs 1,652) are holding gains and are up over 1% each.

HLL has dropped over 2% to Rs 243. Dr.Reddy's and Hero Honda have slipped 2% each to Rs 1,335 and Rs 891, respectively.

HDFC Bank (Rs 709) and ONGC (Rs 1,176) have shed 1.7% each.

Satyam (Rs 770), ITC (Rs 164), Bajaj Auto (Rs 2,587), Infosys (Rs 2,763), Wipro (Rs 516), Cipla (Rs 553) and Ranbaxy (Rs 447) have slipped over 1% each.

The market breadth is fairly negative. Out of 2,390 stocks traded so far, 1,308 have declined, 995 have advanced and 87 are unchanged.
