Sensex drops 74pts; ITC sheds 3%

The Sensex is now down 74 points at 13,941.

ITC has shed 3% to Rs 170. Hindalco has dropped 2% to Rs 176.

Hero Honda, Wipro and Grasim have slipped nearly 2% each to Rs 764, Rs 610 and Rs 2,789, respectively.

HDFC Bank, Satyam and Gujarat Ambuja have declined around 1.5% each to Rs 1,050, Rs 508 and Rs 143, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's and Reliance Energy have moved up around 1.5% each to Rs 821 and Rs 532, respectively.

Out of 2,252 stocks traded so far, 1,329 have advanced, 852 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
