Sensex drops 90pts, Bharti, HLL major draggers

The Sensex has drifted to lower levels and is now down 90 points at 10,309.

Bharti Airtel has shed nearly 4% to Rs 352. HLL and Maruti have tumbled 3% each to Rs 226 and Rs 713, respectively.

Bajaj Auto, Larsen & Toubro and Tata Power have slipped over 2% each to Rs 2,689, Rs 2,265 and Rs 486, respectively.

TCS is down nearly 2% at Rs 1,750. Cipla has dropped 1.7% to Rs 226.

Reliance (Rs 941) and Ranbaxy (Rs 407) are down 1.2% each.

HDFC is up over 2% at Rs 1,151. BHEL has gained 1.4% to Rs 1,929. ICICI Bank is up over 1% at Rs 542.

Out of 2,335 stocks traded so far, 1,420 have declined, 858 have advanced and 57 are unchanged.
