Sensex drops 94pts; tech scrips slide

The Sensex has dropped 94 points (1.5%) to 6,129.

Infosys has slipped 2% (Rs 43) to Rs 1,928. Satyam is down 3% (Rs 12) at Rs 360, and Wipro has lost Rs 9 to Rs 665.

HLL is down 2.3% (Rs 3) to Rs 138. Reliance has dropped 1.3% (Rs 7) to Rs 519. SBI has tanked 3% (Rs 16) to Rs 572.

Cipla has tanked 4.7% (Rs 12) to Rs 256. Dr. Reddy's has dropped 4% (Rs 34) to Rs 730. Ranbaxy is down 3.5% (Rs 39) to Rs 1,070.

Hero Honda has declined 4.6% (Rs 26) to Rs 547. Maruti, Tata Motors and Bajaj are also trading with losses.

Zee has dropped 5% (Rs 9) to Rs 154. Reliance Energy and Tata Power are also trading on a weak note.

HDFC is up Rs 6 at Rs 724. L&T is up Rs 3 at Rs 940.
