Sensex drops 98pts; Reliance up 2%

The Sensex is now down 98 points at 11,840.

ONGC has plunged 6.3% to Rs 1,299.  ACC has slumped 4.7% to Rs 923.

Infosys has dropped 3.5% to Rs 3,117. Satyam has slipped 1.6% to Rs 764.

Maruti has declined 3% to Rs 896. Hero Honda has shed nearly 3% to Rs 822, and Tata Motors is down 1.8% to Rs 941.

Tata Steel has dropped 2.8% to Rs 636, and Bharti Tele is down 2.2% at Rs 402.

Reliance has gained 2% at Rs 998.

Larsen & Toubro, Hindalco and ITC have gained over 1% each at Rs 2,698, Rs 217 and Rs 204, respectively.

Out of 2,564 stocks traded so far, 1,373 have advanced, 1,134 have declined and 57 are unchanged.
