Sensex ends 9pts lower at 12,030

After opening with a positive gap of 14 points at 12,054 the Sensex  zoomed to touch a new all-time intra-day high of 12102 in the opening few trades. Proft-taking in intra-day trades saw the index take a sharp dip to 11,860 - down 242 points from the peak.

The index bounced back smartly and rebounded into the positive zone before closing marginally lower (nine points) at 12,030.

The index has gained a whopping 7% (793 points) during the week.
