Sensex ends down 114pts at 13,765

The Sensex opened a tad higher at 13,886 - up seven points - but soon slipped into red owing to weakness in technology stocks at the opening bell. Fresh buying in cement and metal stocks saw the index rebound into the positive zone and touch a high of 13,956.

Selling re-emerged in the mid-noon trades, and the index slipped back into the negative zone to a low of 13,741 - down 215 points from the day's high. The Sensex finally ended close to the day's low at 13,765 - down 114 points.
