Sensex ends down 132pts at 15,472

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 61 points at 15,665. After touching a high of 15,726 in morning trades, the index slipped into red owing to weakness in technology stocks.

As selling spread to other counters, the index tumbled to a low of 15,467 - down 259 points from the day's high. Some fresh buying helped the index cut losses, however, the index eventually ended (provisional) close the day's lows at 15,472 - down 132 points.
