Sensex ends down 132pts at 19,269

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 152 points at 19,553, and soon rallied to a high of 19,679. The index, however, could not hold gains and soon slipped into the negative zone.

The index, thereafter, exhibited volatile movement for remainder of the day. The index slipped to a low of 19,249 - down 430 points from the day's high. The Sensex finally ended (provisional) with a loss of 132 points at 19,269.
