The Sensex almost flat at 10,102 - up two points - and thereafter displayed lacklustre movement in morning trades. During which, the index touched a high of 10,173. Selling pressure in noon trades saw the index slip deeper into red.
The index dropped to a low of 9,894 - down 279 points from the day's high. The Sensex finally ended with a loss of 160 points at 9,940.
