Sensex ends down 30pts

The Sensex opened with a huge positive gap of 128 points at 15,772 and moved up to a high of 15,834 in morning deals. Profit-taking in noon deals saw the index drop to 15,298 - an intra-day swing of 536 points.

The Sensex finally closed (provisional) with a loss of 31 points at 15,613.
