Sensex ends down 38pts at 19,928

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 109 points at 20,075, and hit a high of 20,096 in early deals.

The index, however, could not hold gains, and profit-taking saw the index drop to a low of 19,834 in noon deals.

The Sensex finally closed (provisional) with a marginal loss of 38 points at 19,928.
