Sensex ends down 777pts at 15,351

The Sensex opened with a negative gap of 255 points at 15,873, and continued to drift deeped into red as the day progressed on the back of weak global cues.

The index dipped below its January low of 15,332, and touched a low of 15,229. The Sensex finally ended (provisional) with a loss of 777 points at a fresh calendar year low at 15,351.

The NSE Nifty ended (provisional) with a loss of 247 points at 4,625.
