Sensex ends down 89pts at 13,607

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 37 points at 13,733, and touched a high of 13,756, before slipping into the negative zone on account of profit taking in technology stocks.

The index, attempted a pull-back and sneaked into the positive zone in mid-noon trades, but eventually dropped to a low of 13,581 - down 175 points from the day's high.

The Sensex finally settled with a loss of 89 points at 13,607, after having gained 582 points in the previous two trading days.
