Sensex ends down 91pts at 14,363

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 36 points at 14,490, and soon spurted to a high of 14,501. The index, thereafter, slipped into red and exhibited lacklustre movement for major part of the trading day.

A fresh bout of selling late in the day saw the index slip to a low of 14,326 - down 175 points from the day's high. The Sensex finally settled at 14,363 - down 91 points.

The Nifty touched a new all-time intra-day high of 4291, but eventaully ended with a loss of 32 points at 4246.
