The Sensex opened 75 points lower at 10,001. The index after the initial weakness rebounded into the positive zone displayed firm trend for most part of the trading day amid some volatility.
The index touched a low of 9,987, and a high of 10,189 during the day. The Sensex finally (provisional) ended with a gain of seven points at 10,083.
