Sensex ends up 11pts at 13,949

The Sensex opened marginally (13 points) higher at 13,951. Fresh buying in the opening trades saw the index hit the 14,000-mark for the second consecutive day. The index rallied to a new all-time intra-day high of 14,035.

Profit-taking however at the higher levels saw the index pare gains and drop into negative zone to a low of 13,848 - down 187 points from its previous close.

Renewed buying in select index heavyweights saw the index bounce back into the positive zone towards the close. The Sensex finally ended flat at 13,949, up 11 points.
