Sensex ends up 201pts at 14,204

Taking cues from strong global markets, the Sensex opened with a positive gap of 85 points at 14,088 - up 85 points - and then did not bother to look back.

Unabated buying in capital goods, metal and select financial stocks saw the index advance to higher levels as the day progressed. The index touched a high of 14,219. The Sensex finally ended with a smart gain of 201 points at 14,204.
