Sensex ends up 211pts at 19,740

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 100 points at 19,629. Positive cues from the Asian markets helped the index remain in positive zone throughout the day.

Energy stocks, once again, were the major gainers today. The index rallied to a high of 19,791, and finally settled (provisional) with a gain of 211 points at 19,740.
