Sensex ends up 86pts at 15,837

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 56 points at 15,806 and moved up to a high of 16,003 in morning deals. Profit-taking at higher levels saw the index drop to a low of 15,699 in noon deals.

The Sensex finally closed (provisional) with a gain of 86 points at 15,837.
