Sensex extends losses, down 106pts

The Sensex has extended losses and touched a new low of 13,630, down 106 points.

SensexThe Sensex is exhibiting volatility and has  slipped into the negative zone. The index is now near its day's low at 13,686, down 52 points.

Sterlite and Mahindra & Mahindra have slipped 3.7% each to Rs 511 and Rs 629, respectively.

ONGC and Tata Motors  have dropped over 3% each to Rs 1,038 and Rs 347, respectively.

ACC and Grasim have declined over 2.5% each to Rs 722 and Rs 2,140, respectively.

HDFC has moved up over 1.5% at Rs 2,136.

 

Reliance and NTPC has increased over 1% each to Rs 2,145 and Rs 215, respectively

The market breadth is positive, out of 2,479 shares traded, 1,638 have advanced, 789 have declined and 52 are unchanged so far on the BSE.
