The Sensex has slipped further to a low of 14562, down 395 points. The index is now at 14,576, down 380 points.

The Sensex has extended losses and touched a low of 14,650. The index is now down 255 points at 14,702.
The Metal and Realty indices on the BSE are the major laggards. The Metal index has slipped 4% to 11,466. The Realty index is down 3.8% at 3,459.
Tata Motors and Tata Steel have plunged 5% each to Rs 332 and Rs 427, respectively. Reliance Communications, Hindalco, Jaiprakash Associates have shed 4.5% each.
ONGC has dropped 4% to Rs 1,081. DLF, Ranbaxy, NTPC and Sterlite have declined 3% each.
Mahindra & Mahindra, ACC, Larsen & Toubro, Wipro, Grasim, BHEL, Reliance, TCS, ITC and SBI have slipped 2-3% each.
However, Reliance Infrastructure has added 2% to Rs 1,294.
The market breadth is fairly negative. Out of 2,702 stocks traded, 1,776 have declined while 843 have advanced.
