Sensex extends losses; Rel Infra slumps 9%The Sensex has slipped deeper into red and is now down 273 points at 9,133.
Wipro and Reliance Infrastructure have slumped 8.5% each to Rs 229 and Rs 473, respectively.
DLF has plunged 5.5% to Rs 206. TCS, Hindalco and BHEL have tumbled around 5% each to Rs 508, Rs 50 and Rs 1,347, respectively.
Reliance and Sterlite have shed 4.7% each at Rs 1,097 and Rs 260, respectively.
NTPC has dropped over 4% to Rs 171. Tata Steel, ITC and Larsen & Toubro have slipped over 3% each to Rs 208, Rs 164 and Rs 697, respectively.
Reliance Communications, Tata Motors and Bharti Airtel are also down around 3% each at Rs 181, Rs 158 and Rs 619, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates has moved up 2.6% to Rs 70. Sun Pharma has added 1.8% to Rs 1,121.
The market breadth is fairly negative - out of 2,203 stocks traded so far, 1,341 have declined, 782 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
