The NSE Nifty is up 35 points at 3,982.
ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank have zoomed around 7.5% each to Rs 1,030 and Rs 592, respectively. HDFC has soared 7% to Rs 2,022.
DLF has surged 2.8% to Rs 439. ONGC, Cipla and Reliance Infrastrucutre have rallied 2.5% each to Rs 925, Rs 217 and Rs 825, respectively.
BHEL has gained 2% at Rs 1,482. NTPC, Bharti Airtel, SBI and Tata Motors have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 168, Rs 762, Rs 1,248 and Rs 418, respectively.
Satyam has slumped 8.8% to Rs 378. Wipro has plunged 5.3% to Rs 360. Infosys has tumbled 4.6% to Rs 1,510, and TCS has shed 2% at Rs 763.
Ranbaxy has dropped 4.8% to Rs 431. Tata Steel has slipped 2.5% to Rs 592.
Out of 2,431 stocks traded so far, 1,304 have advanced, 1,038 have declined and 98 are unchanged.
