Sensex flat; Bajaj Auto down 9%

The Sensex is now down eight points at 14,292.

HDFC Bank has rallied 2% to Rs 1,057. ACC has gained 1.6% at Rs 904.

ITC, TCS and Hero Honda are up 1% each at Rs 167, Rs 1,260 and Rs 685, respectively.

Bajaj Auto has plunged 8.5% to Rs 2,290. Tata Steel has shed 1.7% to Rs 587.

HDFC, Hindalco, Gujarat Ambuja and Reliance Communications are down over 1% each at Rs 1,688, Rs 147, Rs 122 and Rs 495, respectively.

Out of 2,376 stocks traded so far, 1,208 have declined, 1,080 have advanced and 88 are unchanged.
