Sensex flat; Banks, tech stocks weak

The Sensex is almost flat 10,756, up four points.

Commodity stocks like auto, cement and metal stocks are witnessing some buying. However banks and technology stocks are slightly weak.

BHEL has gained 2% at Rs 2,145. NTPC and Tata Motors have advanced 1.7% each to Rs 118 and Rs 745, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and Dr.Reddy's are up 1% each at Rs 2,270 and Rs 1,402, respectively.

HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank have dropped 1.3% each to Rs 770 and Rs 542, respectively.

Wipro has slipped over 1% to Rs 490.

The market breadth is positive - out of 1,712 stocks traded so far, 944 have advanced, 703 have declined and 65 are unchanged.
