Sensex flat; Bharti surges 2%

The Sensex is almost flat at 12,271, down three points.

Bharti Airtel has surged 2% to Rs 475. Grasim has rallied 1.8% to Rs 2,514.

Hindalco and Gujarat Ambuja have added 1.5% each to Rs 173 and Rs 118, respectively.

Reliance, ACC and HDFC have advanced 1% each to Rs 1,149, Rs 978 and Rs 1,420, respectively.

Satyam has slipped 1.5% to Rs 847. ICICI Bank is down 1% at Rs 657.
