Sensex flat; breadth marginally +ve

The Sensex is almost flat at 14,295 - down five points.

TCS and HDFC Bank have rallied around 2% each to Rs 1,272 and Rs 1,059, respectively. ACC has surged 1.7% to Rs 904.

Satyam, ICICI Bank and Wipro are the other major gainers.

Bajaj Auto has plunged 8.6% to Rs 2,285. HDFC and Hindalco have slipped over 1% each to Rs 1,687 and Rs 147, respectively.

The market breadth is positive - out of 1,813 stocks traded so far, 935 have advanced, 816 have declined and 62 are unchanged.
