Sensex flat; ICICI, RIL advance

The Sensex opened with a huge negative gap of 103 points at 13,769, mainly on account of a sharp (14.5%) drop in Bharti Airtel at the opening bell.

The index has now almost flat at 13,869, down three points.

ICICI Bank has advanced over 1% to Rs 901. Reliance and Satyam are the other prominent gainers.

HDFC, BHEL and HDFC Bank are down around 1% each at Rs 1,566, Rs 2,254 and Rs 1,040, respectively.

Grasim, ONGC, Cipla and Maruti are the other prominent losers.
