Sensex flat in morning trades; DLF sheds 5%

The Sensex opened 74 points lower at 8,841, and soon slipped into the negative zone to a low of 8,709. The index, thereafter, rebounded and touched a high of 9,042. The index is now almost flat at 8,912 - down three points.

Reliance Infrastructure has surged 4% to Rs 505. TCS has rallied 2.7% to Rs 520.

Tata Power and ACC have gained 2% each at Rs 644 and Rs 407, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, Infosys and BHEL are up around 1% each at Rs 770, Rs 1,198 and Rs 1,293, respectively.

DLF has slumped 5% to Rs 188. ICICI Bank and Sterlite have plunged nearly 3% each to Rs 326 and Rs 213, respectively.

 

HDFC Bank has shed 2.6% at Rs 834. Grasim, Tata Steel and Satyam are down over 1% each at Rs 922, Rs 158 and Rs 238, respectively.
