Infosys has surged 2.8% to Rs 1,800. Tata Motors and TCS have rallied around 2.5% each to Rs 656 and Rs 932, respectively.
Jaiprakash Associates and ITC have gained 2% each at Rs 272 and Rs 217, respectively. NTPC has moved up 1.7% to Rs 198.
Mahindra & Mahindra has advanced 1.5% to Rs 652. Maruti and Reliance Communications have added 1.3% each to Rs 741 and Rs 582, respectively.
Satyam and Wipro are up over 1% each at Rs 485 and Rs 485, respectively.
HDFC has slipped over 2% to Rs 2,820. Grasim has shed 1.7% at Rs 2,430.
HDFC Bank and ONGC have dropped 1.6% each to Rs 1,524 and Rs 1,036, respectively.
DLF and ACC have declined 1.5% each to Rs 715 and Rs 764, respectively.
Ranbaxy and ICICI Bank have shed 1.3% each at Rs 479 and Rs 890, respectively.
Reliance Energy and Hindalco are down over 1% each at Rs 1,420 and Rs 196, respectively.
